Managing Director

Ayo Oladimeji

Ayo Oladimeji is one of the founding members of Ovation Investment Group and has been the Managing Director since 2019. A seasoned entrepreneur with about fifteen (15) years professional experience in project management, real estate development, investment management, business consulting including the non-profit sector.

His experience in investment and asset management comes from his interest in real estate, private equity and financial advisory. Ayo previously worked with Haliburton as a Project Engineer and rose through the ranks to a Senior Project Manager, after which he joined ATCO as a Project Consultant on several multi-million-dollar projects delivering cross-functional facilities.

He is also the President of Crystal Care Group (CCG), a Program Manager – Executives & Innovations with a large NFP organization, and also serves on the Boards of several companies including A5 Capital, FAA, and Canadian Imperial Advantage where he works on providing strategic direction for organizations to operate at full capacity.
Ayo holds a Project Management certification (PMP), a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). He is passionate about Corporate Governance and promotes Business continuous improvement.

Popoola Akande

Mr Popoola Akande is a co-founder of Ovation Investment Group and chairs OIG’s investment portfolios. He also currently serves as the President of Canadian Imperial College, Edmonton.
Prior to founding OIG, Popoola served as a Senior Manager at Alberta Treasury Bank (ATB Financial), where he underwrote personal and business loans to clients in both public and private sectors. He also worked with several other banks across the globe including, Citibank Plc, Barclays Bank and Canadian Western Bank (CWB).
Popoola currently chairs a list of companies including HEC Immigration Consults, A5 Group Inc., Heritage Education Consults with offices in Glasgow, Edmonton and Lagos. He is a great advocate for community development.
He is an Alumni at the University of Glasgow, a Chartered Accountant and Fellow at the Institute of Banking.

Director

Bola Badmus

Bola Badmus is a co-founder of Ovation Investment Group. With over fifteen years dynamic experience in business development and project management, Bola oversees the preparation of OIG’s operational matters, and also work with key stakeholders to develop a sustainable framework for our business processes.

He currently serves as the Managing Partner at BB Atlantic Corporation, a professional business consulting and project management firm, with clients in both private and public sector.

Prior to his role at OIG, Bola Badmus worked with Suncor Energy, Canadian Natural Resources (CNRL), Shell Scotford through United Safety Inc., and served as the Managing Partner at Oxlade Construction Limited; an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), where he developed and managed the company’s business operations with turnovers in excess of $40 million dollars, through strategic partnerships (third-party vendor) with multinationals like Saipem ENI, Total, Lafarge, Procter & Gamble, Diageo, PZ Cussons, Coca-Cola, Nigerian Breweries, etc.

Bola is very passionate about developing economic empowerment and capacity development initiatives for the Black community. He founded Afri-Can Alliance International and also a Project Director at the Canadian Imperial Advantage.

He is an Alumni of the University of Lagos, Coventry University and University of Warwick respectively. Bola is an active member of the Institute of Directors as well as other professional associations.

Adel Adejare

Mr. Adel Adej is a co-founder at Ovation Investment Group. He also serves as a Portfolio Manager and oversees the OIG’s Tech Fund and Opportunities Strategy.

Adel has over 15 years of diverse expertise in Information technology and has championed several major tech-driven projects through his Talent Development programs. Adel is the Director of Programs at the Canford Institute of Technology (CIT), Edmonton Alberta.

He has also worked for leading ICT companies like Comcast in the United States, and MTN Africa before founding Openplanet Technologies Inc. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the technology industry to OIG.

Ada Uju

Ada Uju is the Company Secretary and Head of OIG’s legal services. She has over 15 years leadership experience in International Relations, Policy Development, Business Matching and Legal Counselling across various industries in Canada.

Ada also serves as the Lead Consultant at CYNEL Global Resources, a professional consulting firm that has successfully powered huge socio-economic investment projects through strategic partnerships with Canadian Government Trade Missions to harness opportunities in emerging markets, particularly Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa.

She has been honored several times for her professional skills in Investor / Funding Relations, Stakeholder Engagement, Corporate Social Responsibility and Government Relations.

Ada is a trained lawyer from the York University, Canada and affiliated to many professional associations. She is also an international advocate for social equity and women economic empowerment.

Dr Olan Ajayi

Dr Olan Ajayi is a professional neuro-physiotherapist and has gained several qualifications in the field of Public Health, Service Improvement and Change Management.

He is a Director at OIG, and primarily responsible for advising the team on new markets, partnerships and global expansion, with a focus on business matching, process improvement and overall corporate strategy.

With a professional doctorate in health sciences and master’s in public health management, Dr Olan sits on a large number of research and quality committees; and has worked closely with patients with long-term neurological conditions within the private and public healthcare systems in the UK, North America, and Africa.

Dr Ajayi is a health and wellness enthusiast, with a strong bias for quality assurance and system audits.
